Crash The Machine |
Utilizing all of his influences yet somehow making them his own, Randy manages to defy convention through sweeping melodies and soaring choruses, constantly avoiding the obvious, taking the listener down a road less traveled. “Last Salutation” is a statement from a unique and original artist who continually defines and redefines himself in the face of the cookie-cutter mentality that defines the present day music business. Last Salutation is the 1st in a long line of things to come. For more information, or to buy their music & merchandise, check out Randy Coleman's website at: www.randycoleman.net | |

In an interesting twist of fate and modern technology, the members of Manic Bloom found themselves gathered in a small rent house in Nashville , TN. The beginnings were a bit chaotic. In a town well known for a country music landscape, the five stepped onto an unstable terrain of progressive rock and neo-romantic classical piano. Over time, a sound began to emanate that was more than simply piecing together chords and rhythms. Rather, it originated from connecting the physical with the spiritual, frenzy with order, power with beauty. With the release of their self-recorded EP, Manic Bloom is proving that they are as aggressive as their music. Phantods |
With their self-titled full-length release in early 2008, Phantods instantly displays their ability to play in a vast array of musical genres, eloquently skipping between them... and sometimes schizophrenically slamming into them head first. Take the album’s opening track, “Orpheus”, for example. The well-crafted tale through the Greek tragedy quickly delivers a devastating one-two punch, yielding a quick and ferocious blast of noise directly into a mathematical exploration upon which singer Gretchen King’s eerily beautiful voice dances. As the song drives forward you’ll traverse through soundscapes of nightmarish polka, drudging metal, and a mournful crescendo quite sure to give you the phantods.
