It was October 1995, and me and my college buddy Sean Begley were sitting on my bed playing songs on the guitar. Sean said it was a shame I wasn't in a band anymore and I complained that the guitarists I had been in bands with were either unreliable or not up to scratch. I told him there was only one guitarist I'd heard of - and seen and heard playing in gigs and at jams over the years - who I considered was good enough to start a new band up with - Jeffrey George. Sean smiled at me and said 'I know Jeff, and he lives only half a mile away'. We packed up the guitars and walked - in the pitch black - to a cottage down a cobbled stone lane, only a few hundred metres from my house. We knocked on the door, and Jeff poked his head thru the upstairs window. 'Well look who's just turned up on my freaking doorstep' he said. And that was more or less the minute that bluefur was born.....

Royal Chant is a garage band from the wilds of NSW, Australia, who play their own brand of overdriven & hyperverbal rock with passion and poetry, sounding like pop put through a fuzzbox blender. Some answers to some questions you may not have asked.....yes, the singer is from America, so no, he's not putting on a fake accent.....no, we're not from the Central Coast, (that's not very wild now, is it?), so all the DJs who are saying that on the radio have it wrong and should stop it. If you want to say we're from anywhere, Wauchope would be best, but if you can't manage that then at least try and get close by saying we're from Port Macquarie....not that we ever really play in either...unless you count Matt's garage.

Not only has Two Ton Anvil been slowly making a name for themselves in local Chicago music scene but also have shared the stage with national acts such as Five Finger Death Punch, Bury your Dead, In this Moment, Another Black Day, etc. Recently putting the finishing touches on there first full length self titled album, Two Ton Anvil’s gearing up for a full out Chicago gigging schedule with coast to coast touring already in the works.
